Mission :
During an initiation period you will receive an in-depth training of the
production and business processes. After this introduction you will be
responsible, as a member of the IS/R&D department,
for managing the analysis, development, roll-out and maintenance/support
of systems, technology infrastructure, tools and projects in the field
of Production-Support, - Follow-up and -Administration.
In an initial stage your main task will be to lead and coach a team of
analyst-programmers which specializes in tools used in the manufacturing
process. You will also be working closely together with your collegue-IT
Manager on a wide scale of other IT solutions to improve business and
production
processes. You will co-ordinate team members and external IT specialists
and providers in compliance with management objectives and strategy. You
will be co-responsible for establishing the overall IT direction.

Profile :
The successful candidate will have :
- A university or similar higher degree in sciency, technology or engineering
with additional qualifications in Information Technology.
- Profound experience (min. 5 years) in a complex and demanding IT
environment (e.g. in a manufacturing industry) managing critical projects,
systems and services.
- Proven experience in development of complex software projects, by
preference in a graphical environment, but also in database applications.
- Multiple platform experience, ideally Unix (Linux) and Windows NT/2000/XP.
- Strong knowledge of Visual Basic programming, or of a similar development
environment.
- Experience with Progress 4GL - Client-Server , Webspeed and database
administration is an asset
- Knowledge of Development tools and client server-, network- and internet
architecture.
- Thorough understanding of industrial business processes with an analytical,
methodical and logical problemsolving approach.
- Effective interpersonal-, communication- and project management skills.
- Leadership with the ability to effect changes in processes, performance
and people.
